Philips is launching two of its unique and interesting products, Philips hue gradient lightstrip and Philips hue Iris, soon in October 2020. Sounds interesting, Isn’t it? Let’s have an insight!
Philips is a Dutch multinational electronics company found in 1891. It aims to improve people’s lives through its meaningful innovations including healthy living, prevention, diagnosis and home care.
If we see other Philips new bulbs and fixtures, Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip and Hue iris both are the innovative ones.
Both of these products use an entirely new technology showing multiple colors in multiple addressable channels at once inside a single unit with respect to the content playing on the screens.
“The ones who are crazy enough to color the world are the ones who actually do.”
Philips goal behind this launch:
Imagine how boring the world seems in black and white because colors make life pop up. The world is full of colors.
The nature has unparalleled artistry that makes the view of sunset extra-ordinary, flowers look captivating and wildlife looks remarkable.
In contrast to Mother Nature, if we talk about the designers either interior, graphic, or product designers. They all put an effort to fill colors in the lives of the people through their color techniques.
An interior designer chooses color pallets for the new office, a new restaurant, or a new home. A graphic designer crafts a new brand and logo for the new company.
Similarly, a product designer selects the most desirable colors for his product to make its people fond of that.
There are a lot of ideas in their minds to apply this technology to their other products. However, matching the lights to the content of the TV screen has been a big focus of the Philips team over the past few years.
For this purpose with the invention of this multi-color hue light strip is a real and excellent upgrade. This has now in competition with the LIFX who is selling and making smart and multicolor light strip for four years.
There are many excellent features of this new product some of them are:
1. Easy installation:
There is a range of television sets in every home and it is impossible to trim these Philips Hue Light Strip. Therefore, It is launching in three sizes (55 inches, 65 inches, 75 inches).
It fits on the back of a host TV to project light out at a 45-degree angle. Mounting brackets are also provided to make installation quick and easy.
2. Hue Sync Technology:
Syncing the color-capable smart lights of your home with movies and video games for thrilling entertainment seems a good idea.
So, the Hue Sync Technology captures the content a person is watching and translates it into a color script. Now that’s wonderful!
3. Surround Lighting:
The Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip reacts to the content on the screen in real-time and creates a captivating & amazing television viewing and gaming experience.
It creates the magic of surround lighting with the 45-degree light projection. But it requires the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box and Hue Bridge which you have to buy separately.
4. Blended colors:
It can give seamlessly blended colors of the light in a single LED at the same time. As the colors flow together naturally It casts a unique effect behind the TV screen.
5. Hue Sync and Hue Bridge:
The Philips Hue Play gradient lightstrip requires the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box, mobile app, and a Hue Bridge. The Bridge also allows you to add up to 50 lights and accessories.
It enables you to set up your entire home, create timers and routines, and control your lights from anywhere with the help of the Hue mobile application. Isn’t it amazing?
6. Complete entertainment package:

But let’s discuss an important thing which matters to most of the people when they are buying stuff. The Price of the 55-inch version of Hue Lightstrip is $199.
If your TV is bigger than this then you would have to pay more as for the 65-inch version, it is priced at $219 and the 75-inch version is priced at $240.

You might have listened to it over and over that spend more for high quality or buy cheap to save money but it is not the case all the time. Do you agree that a higher price tag means a higher quality? Not true always.
There are many people out there who will say that this product is just an overdue to the already present product line. The people who are asking to buy this product they are going to buy it anyway even with increased prices.
While the people who think that it is overpriced– they can go and check the LIFX hue light strips and other products that have comparatively fewer prices as compared to Philips.
Here are some of the LIFX home hue lightstrip setups but obviously they don’t come with the same features when compared to Philips.

We have a choice to live an unhappy life or we can choose to live a happy life with or without money. Similarly, it’s a matter of choice whether we choose to live in a black & white world or add some colors in it.
