FC Barcelona without Lionel Messi who is one of the greatest footballers of all time and who wouldn’t want the G.O.A.T on his side but it may be a blessing in disguise for FC BARCELONA. Yes, you read it right Lionel Messi’s transfer to PSG can only make FC BARCELONA a better TEAM. Big statement right?

Lionel Messi’s transfer to PSG

Lionel Messi signed a two-year deal with the French club Paris Saint Germain on 10th August 2021 with an option for a third year, that will net him an annual salary of $41m plus bonuses.

As soon as the heart-breaking news of Leo’s failed contract extension broke out. The world knew there’s only one club that could make a move for the veteran and that was PSG. Manchester City and Chelsea were the two other clubs people were linking him with. However, Chelsea ruled out all the rumors and so did Pep Guardiola after the signing of Jack Grealish.

Lionel Messi on joining PSG: “I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career in Paris. The club and his visions are a perfect match for my ambitions. I’m determined to build something great for the club and the fans. I can’t wait to step onto the pitch at the Parc des Princes”.

New FC Barcelona Signing

Although FC Barcelona is in great debt, they have still managed to pull off some decent signings this summer. Barca has brought back Eric Garcia on a free transfer and Sergio Aguero from the English Club Man City. To strengthen that attack they have also brought in Memphis Depay from Lyon that too on a free transfer.

Emerson Royal has joined the club for a signing fee of 9 million Euros. Most of the signings are free transfers as Barca couldn’t afford to go big this summer. Things at Barcelona are not good financially as they were even struggling to register their new signings. Memphis Depay’s registration in the squad was delayed due to some financial issues within the club. The Clubs Veteran player Gerard Pique stepped up and offered a pay cut in order to generate funds to register the new Dutch Striker.

Aguero wants to leave FC Barcelona?

Another news came up as Messi left his beloved club that the new signing Sergio Aguero who is yet to make an appearance for the Spanish Giants now also wants to leave the club. Reports were that he only came to Spain to play with his best friend Lionel Messi. And now that he has left the club The Argentinian no longer wants to play for the Spanish club. Later on, the rumors of Aguero leaving were ruled out and we’ll be watching Aguero in a Barcelona shirt as soon as he returns from his injury.

Aguero wants to leave FC Barcelona?

FC Barcelona is trying very hard to keep up with the best clubs in Europe and of course their biggest rivals Real Madrid. Barca Fans were happy enough when the new president Joan Laporta took over. As because he has been working really hard since then to normalize things at the club. Although he failed at his biggest goal and that was to keep Lionel Messi at the club. But still Barca fans are very much optimistic that he is the right man for the job.

BARCA 2021/22 Season:

Fc Barcelona started their new season on 15th August against Real Sociedad without Lio Messi after around 17 long years. The match resulted in a Barca win where Barca scored 4 goals and conceded 2. Barca fans did enjoy the win but on the other hand, were missing their beloved Leo. Barca started the game with the classic 4-3-3 formation where Griezmann, Depay, and Braithwaite made up the front three and were phenomenal as Braithwaite scored two goals and Depay assisted the Pique’s goal.

The midfield of three included the veteran Sergio Busquets, De Jong, and the Spanish wonder kid Pedri. We could clearly see how composed the midfield was how brilliantly the three midfielders were making those chances for the front three.

Barca’s defense has been their major problem since a couple of seasons ago. They planned to sort it out by bringing in Eric Garcia back from Man City. Still the lack of ability at the defense can be seen in this Barca team. The second goal they conceded was from a brilliant freekick by Mikel Oyarzabal which was clearly unstoppable. Overall, this new Post-Messi Barca team may struggle a bit too but they are only bound to achieve great things in the future. This Barca team has got talent along with experience.

Post Messi Era- Pedri playing for Barca

Players like Pedri, Ansu Fati, Puig, Moriba and Eric Garcia are the future for Barcelona. Pedri is being labeled as the next Xavi and he has proved this in UEFA Euros 2020 for the Spanish International Team. He played each and every game at the EUROS and bossed the midfield against some of the best international sides. That’s an accomplishment for an 18-year-old.

Ansu Fati is injured since the last year but is eager to make a comeback for his beloved club. Once he’s back Barcelona will have a tremendous amount of talent up front. Now that Lionel Messi has left these young players to have to step up and lead this FC Barcelona team without him into a new era which is being labeled as “THE POST MESSI ERA”.

Why Barca Better Off Without Messi:

While the whole world is waiting for Barcelona to collapse as a top European team but we think differently. FC Barcelona might have a chance to become one of the best teams in Europe. Because when Iniesta left this Barca team always looked up to Messi for a win or for a goal. Lionel Messi might be G.O.A.T but he isn’t GOD.

You can’t depend on a single player in football and of course, there are moments in football when a single player can win you trophies and all the medals. But, in the end, football is a team sport and Barca had forgotten that. We could clearly see whenever Barca played whether it is in the Champions League or in the LA LIGA they were always dependent on him. If Lionel Messi performs, they would win and without him the same FC Barcelona team looked clueless.

Future of FC Barcelona?

This is the time each and every Barca player should step up and play for that badge as one whole Unit. We have seen this already in the first game against Real Sociedad. That this new Barca side was playing with pure passion. All the eleven players had an assigned job for themselves and they weren’t dependent on any single players. Now there will be ups and downs as it is hard to fill up the space Lionel Messi has left behind. But with Unity, In that Barca team they can achieve great things and fans might think Lionel’s time at the club was actually done.
